Mangaluru, May 13: Annual sports meet 2022, was organised by Athena institute of health sciences on May 13, 2022 at Mangala stadium, Mangaluru. The  programme began at 9.00 am with the march past led by the college band followed by the athletes and all the batches of students of Athena institute of health sciences.
 
The inaugural programme was commenced by invoking God's blessings through a prayer song. Dr Ashith Shettian, trustee, AIHS was the chief guest. Prof Sharlet D'Souza extended warm welcome to the gathering.
 






























 
 
Krida Jyothi was done by the athletes of the institutions and the torch signified the spirit of true sportsmanship. Dr Ashith Shettian declared the sports meet open, followed by oath taking ceremony. The chief guest wished good luck to the participants and students gathering.
 
Principal, Sr Deepa Peter, in her speech she encouraged the students for their participation and stressed on the success stories of many great achievers.
 
A total of 8 events, each for men and women category were conducted. There was an active participation and enthusiasm. The winners were honoured 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes with medals and certificates. The vote of thanks was delivered by Viola Dsouza, Assistant lecturer delivered the vote of thanks and the programme was compared by Femie  D'Souza student of 3rd year Bsc nursing. The physical education instructor Dayananda Mada and Karunakaran were present during the proceedings.
