Sullia, May 16: Police arrested a man on the accusation of transporting cow illegally in a car.
The incident occurred at Bellare on the night of May 14.
Acting on definite information that a cow is being transported in Maruti 800 car, Bellare police stopped the car near Boodu bridge and confiscated both the car and cow.
It is said that the cow was being transported from Alangar to Markanja via Bellare.
