Sharjah's Shops for Women to Have Only Female Workers


Sharjah, Feb 23 (IANS) Shops in the emirate of Sharjah that sell items for women now must have only female workers, according to a new law.

All commercial outlets that sell items and commodities for women will have to appoint female workers, the Sharjah Executive Council said.

The meeting was chaired by Shaikh Abdullah Bin Salim Al Qasimi, the deputy ruler of Sharjah, according to Gulf News.

The decision comes in the framework care is taken of women in society, according to the teachings of the Islamic Sharia. These include the traditions followed in society and the keenness on maintaining women's privacy in all fields.
