Fire breaks out in Delhi forest area


New Delhi, May 19 (IANS): A fire broke out at a forest area in north Delhi on Thursday, but there were no casualties, a Fire Department official said.

The official said that they received a call about the incident at a forest area behind a CNG pump near Majnu Ka Tila in north Delhi area at 2.45 p.m. after which two fire tenders were immediately pressed into service.

"There were no injuries or casualties in the incident," the official told IANS.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

As per latest reports, another fire tender has reached the spot to douse the flames.
