Youth robbed, murdered in Gurugram


Gurugram, May 23 (IANS): A 24-year-old man was robbed and killed in the IMT Manesar police station area of Gurugram, the police said on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Ashish, a resident of Kharkhari village who ran a grocery store at Aliyar village.

The deceased's brother Ajay told the police that Ashish was returning from his shop on Saturday night and was talking to him on phone.

"While they were having the conversation, some people stopped Ashish, robbed and assaulted him and threw him in the bushes by the roadside," Ajay told the police.

The complainant immediately informed the police and while searching, the police found Ashish's motorcycle in the bushes by the roadside. The police also found Ashish in the bushes and rushed him to a private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Based on Ajay's complaint, a case of murder has been registered at the IMT Manesar police station against unknown persons.
