Mangaluru: St Agnes College organizes Guest Lecture on ‘Tuberculosis’

Mangaluru, May 26: The department of Microbiology along with Youth Red Cross Unit, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised a guest lecture on the topic Tuberculosis by Dr Veena Jasmine Pinto, associate professor, department Of General Medicine, Father Muller Medical College, Mangaluru on Tuesday May 24 in St Agnes College Auditorium at 2 pm. She enlightened the students on various aspects of Tuberculosis like the types and stages of tuberculosis, risk factors, prevention, diagnosis and treatment. She also clarified the queries related to tuberculosis.

Around 400 students benefited from this programme. Leenya welcomed the gathering, Sinchana introduced the resource person, Keerthi proposed the vote of thanks and Vaishnavi compered the programme. Vidya Patali, head, department of Microbiology and Prajwal Rao convenor, YRC coordinated the programme. Faculty members and final year students of Commerce, Arts and BBA were present for the programme. The programme ended at 4 pm.
