New Delhi, March 1 (IANS) Two-wheeler major Hero Honda Motors Monday reported an increase of more than 23 percent in its sales figure for February, which stood at 4,72,055 units over 382,096 units in the corresponding month last year.
"Our performance throughout this fiscal has been very consistent and the strong February numbers are a positive indication for the growth to continue," said Anil Dua, senior vice-president for marketing and sales of Hero Honda Motors Limited.
February was also the 10th consecutive month of over 4-lakh units sales for the company.
The company further said that its cumulative sales, so far, in the current fiscal year grew by almost 17 percent and stood at 48,86,592 units over last year's performance in the corresponding period, when Hero Honda sold 41,85,492 units.
On the company's scooter business, Dua said that its "Pleasure" brand continues to grow, clocking 30,000 volumes sales a month.
