Kasargod: Close shave for five as boat capsizes due to high tide

Kasargod, May 28: Five persons travelling in a fishing boat had a narrow escape when the boat capsized due to a high tide on Saturday May 28, at the Kanhangad shore.

The fishing boat Al Rahim departed on Friday night from Taikadappura.

The boat was carrying Anjan Malik, Vikas Malik, Varun Das and Chaitra Das from Odisha who were the lucky survivors.

The boat was reportedly destroyed completely and the loss is estimated to be Rs 8 lac.
