Mangaluru: Team of civilian youths to be formed under all police stations – ADGP

Mangaluru, May 29: ADGP Alok Kumar said that instructions have been given to form a team of youths under all police station limits as complementary to the duty of respective police stations. This programme will begin from city itself.

Alok Kumar said that police have only one religion and it is called Khaki. Once a policeman wears the Khaki uniform he or she has to follow the rules of the department mandatorily without any prejudice.

City police commissioner Shashikumar said the rent structure in city is too high and action needs to be taken to build a housing complex for policemen. Already a proposal of Rs 50 crore to build 150 houses has been submitted to to the government.
