Bantwal: Native of Dakshina Kannada expresses wish to adopt govt school in Kashmir

Daijiworld Media Network – Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, May 29: A Kannadiga is about to adopt a government school in Kashmir.

Prakash Anchan, president of Sri Durga Charitable Trust, who has plans to save and make government schools grow, is the one who has attempted this noble cause. Prakash had been trying this since two years but could not succeed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now he has made an appeal to Manoj Sinha, governor of Kashmir to give him an opportunity to adopt government run school. He is expecting a favourable reply soon.

Union minister Shobha Karandlaje, who had arrived recently for the inauguration ceremony of new classrooms and learning centre of Bantwal Daddalakadu school was very impressed by the school. She also responded positively to Prakash's idea and dream to adopt a school in Kashmir under his charity.

On May 25, a delegation of Prakash Anchan, Sarvesh Mishra and Surendra Singh had met Shobha Karandlaje in Delhi. She assured to him of support and give an opportunity to Sri Durga Charitable trust Bantwal to run a government school in Kashmir. She has also written a letter in this regard to the governor of Kashmir.
