Mangaluru: Scooter hits divider - 2 seriously injured, rickshaw driver rescues

Mangaluru, May 30: A rider and his pillion were severely injured after their scooter hit the divider opposite Usmania Complex near Masood Education and Charitable Trust at Bikkarnakatta in city at around 2.15 AM on Sunday, May 29.

Fortunately, an autorickshaw driver passing by the way emerged as their good Samaritan. The rickshaw driver who was ferrying a passenger to central railway station saw the youths fallen on the road, lifted them with help of other members of the public and took them to A J hospital.

The names of the injured are Dheeraj and Ganesh. Ganesh received serious injuries on his right shoulder, jaw, right rib cage and lungs. Dheeraj is injured on his head, nose and left forehead.

It is said that over speeding and negligence by Ganesh, the scooter rider is the cause of this mishap. He was going to drop Dheeraj to his house. A case in this connection is registered in traffic east police station of the city.

    What happened Smart city? No central command centre? , Nobody to monitor street cameras if at all street cameras are there. Smart city means install clock towers and some footpaths

    Smart City of smartest people.... it's happening only a matter of time. Like Pumpwell flyover it needs to be built over a period of decades. Now think of having proper drains and rain Gods are in waiting for pouring..... keep umbrella 🏖️☔ handy.

    Hello Joel don't try to defend them who rides a 2 wheeler at 2am with break neck speed ? it's a drink & ride dude ...some pubs are open till 3am in city.. just check loud exhaust super bikes after 11am...
