Mangaluru, May 30: Shree Devi college of Pharmacy, Shree Devi college of Nursing, Shree Devi college of Physiotherapy and Shree Devi Institute of Social Work under the Shree Devi Education Trust commemorated the graduation ceremony on 28th May 2022. On the same day, the lamp lighting ceremony was conducted for the first year BSc Nursing and GNM students.
The ceremony was inaugurated by the chief guest, Dr Roshan Shetty, director, City Hospital, R & D center, Mangaluru and was presided by Dr Hansraj Alva, consultant Physician, director, Vinaya Hospital and Research Center, Mangaluru. Nidhish Shetty, the vice chairman of Shree Devi Education Trust, and the principals of sister institutes also graced the gathering.
Dr Roshan Shetty, during his address to the graduates emphasized on the importance of staying humble and androle of parents and teachers in our lives. The president of the event, Dr Hansraj Alva shared his words of wisdom. His take home message was to never crave for the happiness, live in the moment and to respect ones profession.
Around 208 graduates of Shree Devi College of Pharmacy, 90 from Shree Devi College of nursing, 175 from Shree Devi College of physiotherapy and 28 from Shree Devi Institute of Social Work, were honored during the event. The RGUHS gold medalist in 3rd semester B.Pharm, Ms. Ayesha Minaz of the batch 2021 was also felicitated. Durgapriya secured 5th rank in 4th semester of MPharm pharmacology. Akshatha secured 10th rank in the 3rd semester of BPharm. Dr.Navyanarayan secured 9th rank in 5th year Pharm D and Blessy Thomas secured 6th rank in 1st year Bsc Nursing.
The dignitaries of the event were welcomed by Edwina , Smitha and Manisha were the masters of the ceremony and vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Lynel.
