Kasargod: Endosulfan victim kills young daughter, hangs to death

Kasargod, May 30: In a tragic incident, an Endosulfan victim killed her daughter before committing suicide at Chamundikunnu, near Rajapura here.

Chamundikunnu resident Vimalakumari (58) and her daughter Reshma (28) are the deceased. As per police sources, Vimalakumari strangled Reshma to death and committed suicide by hanging at about 4 PM on Monday, May 30.

The body of Reshma was found on the cot and that of Vimalakumari was found hanging. The mortal remains are kept at the district hospital.

Rajapur police is conducting investigations.

    Those who responsible for endosulphon even after ban you will have full curse on you and your future generations as well. You cannot escape from this because the curse and tears are already on your and your family head. Repent and only Jesus precious blood can save you.

    sad fact of third world countries...endosulfan was banned in europe in 1950s and the remaining stock was sold to India and our greedy corrupt politicians agreed and killed so many.....winston churchill was right in his statement....

    It is sad that the ghost of our past is still haunting us. Some how we are still accepting things that ought to be banned. The administrations of Kerala & Karnataka should step in and assist those affected. Mere lip service will not hep.

    The Kerala and Karnataka govts are directly responsible for the plight of the endosulphan victims .. Most of them are Tuluvas in the border region.
