R'than to give job to kin of disabled govt employees


Jaipur, May 30 (IANS): The Rajasthan government on Monday approved a proposal in which if a government employee gets disabled or is unable to work, and takes Voluntary Retirement (VRS), his dependents will be able to get compassionate appointments.

With this decision, dependents of those employees of Rajasthan government will get jobs whose relatives become unfit to work either due to illness or any other accident before attaining the retirement age.

In Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved this proposal for administrative approval.

Gehlot had announced a compassionate appointment in the budget for the financial year 2022-23 of Rajasthan.

With this decision of the Chief Minister, it will be possible to give appointments on compassionate grounds to the dependents of such employees working in different departments, corporations, boards, autonomous bodies etc., of the state government.

The Department of Personnel has prepared 'The Rajasthan Compensatory Appointment of Dependents of Permanent Total Disabled Government Servants Rules, 2022' for the implementation of this announcement.
