Bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo announces Diocese of Udupi 2022 priest transfers

Udupi, May 31: Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop, Diocese of Udupi released the transfer orders of the priests of the diocese on Tuesday, May 31.

In the major transfers exercised, Fr Denis D’sa is appointed the new parish priest of Thottam, Fr Royson Fernandes gets additional responsibility of Social Communication, Fr Steevan Fernandes has been made the Director of ICYM / YCS and Fr Leslie D’Souza has been made the new parish priest of Shirva Church.

Also Fr Chethan Lobo, Cap, PRO has been transferred back to the province, Fr Stephen D’Souza, director, Divya Jyothi, is going for higher studies to Bengaluru while Fr Arthur Pereira will be retiring.

    I see in some Parishes change of both priests .New Asst and PP.too.will be not difficult to both about Parish and people ?One at a time more helpful to get used to new place ?

    Congratulations. Thank you all Reverend Priests and their families who offered them to us. Beauty of the Catholic Church...... Priests right from Pope to Seminarian or Deacon all come from families to shepherd the flock. They are Ordained and still just humans as we are and require our prayers more than ever in these trying times to keep them strong in the Lord.
