Kundapur, May 31: "The death of Shilpa is not by suicide. But, it can be assumed as a murder committed by the jihadis. Such incidents are repeating even in this region, like in Kerala and Kashmir," said Vishwa Hindu Parishad block secretary Sharan Pumpwell.

He was speaking during a protest organized by the VHP at Shastri Circle on Tuesday, May 31.

"The eyes of the jihadis who see Hindu girls should be taken away. Muslim leaders are supporting the love jihad. The Hindu community will give a proper answer if this continues. Like a ban is imposed on the economic activities over the Hijab issue in some areas, in Kundapur the same will be done. Since 20 years conversion to Islam through Love Jihad is going on. Though awareness is created in this regard, Shilpa has been a victim of this," he said.

"Hindu girls should know this fact and understand the strategy of Jihadis. The accused Aziz has been arrested. Even his wife Salma should be arrested. The organisation behind this should be exposed," he said.

"We have submitted a memorandum to chief minister in this regard. We urge the state government for a high-level probe," he added.

He also demanded the government to grant Rs 10 lakh compensation to the victim's family.

State convener of Bajrang Dal Sunil K R said, "Conversion is being done through black magic. Awareness is being created in this regard. Few more teams of Durgavahini will be created in the coastal region. It will work like a task force."

Advocates asked not to fight for Azaan

Sunil also appealed to the advocates not to defend Azaan issue.

Bajrang Dal district secretary Dinesh Mendon said, "There is a planned conspiracy in the death of Shilpa. We also should be ready to use Trishula, if Hindu girls are targeted."

Shetty Kattkere also spoke on the occasion.
