Mangaluru: Woman of Assam origin goes missing from Panambur

Mangaluru, Jun 1: A married woman, native of Amorpura village of Tinsukia district in Assam, is missing from Panambur since May 25.

Karpe Pegu is the woman who was living with her husband in a rented accommodation near Sri Rama Bhajana Mandir near Baikampady. Her husband works as a mason in Baikampady.

According to the complaint filed by husband of missing woman, she has not gone to her native place also. It is said that she got acquainted with Babu, native of Kacchar district in Assam. It is suspected that she must have eloped with Babu.

Panambur police are investigating further.

    for those who want to tailor comments based on names of persons, kindly note Babu name is found in more than 1 religion... and the lady's name too cannot be linked to religion... these may be assamese or bangladeshis calling themselves as assamese... even in assam, there are lot of bangladeshis settled in assam.... there is also a "trend" among bangla illegals to don "indian" sounding names...

    Friend, I am not arguing with you. I have a relative from Assam. She said, by her face, it is sure, she is from Assam or any of the 7 north eastern states and never from Bangladesh. She also said, by the name, that woman is from Bodo Tribal community and is a Hindu.

    Though women are less corrupt than men, there are instances, where women have gone to any length of deception to achieve their goals. Hence, nothing can be said about this Assam woman. I give an example here: In Las Vegas, a 40 year old woman claimed child maintenance from a billionaire, for her child. The man said he neither seen her nor slept with her. DNA proved he was the father. When court asked the woman, she said, she was working as a cleaner in a 5 star hotel. She knew the billionaire was in the hotel. She found used condom while cleaning. She got impregnated by the semen in the condom. Court awarded $2 million one time payment and child maintenance for the child.

    Husband is giving hardly any news .First before anything ,kindly look into their house and grill him ,to give more news about her.I doubt he has done something thinking she is cheating him ?now giving complain ?Hope to hear more about her well being .
