Moosewala's two pet dogs mourning his death!

Chandigarh, Jun 1 (IANS): Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, widely known by his stage name Sidhu Moosewala's, best friends -- the two pet dogs -- are mourning, literally.

Just about two days after the Punjabi singer's gruesome killing, they have virtually turned motionless and seem grieving in the absence of their owner.

"It seemed that the dogs were aware of what was going on. I think they are mourning the loss of their owner?" remarked a caretaker.

Moosewala himself named his dogs -- Shera and Baghera -- and used to play with them and take them for a stroll when he was at home.

They have not been taking food since the death of Moosewala on Sunday, said the caretaker, adding they have been sitting endlessly next to the Moosewala's favourite tractor in the garage most of the time, maybe mourning his death.

In less than 24 hours after his security was curtailed by the government, singer-turned-actor-politician Moosewala was shot dead by gangsters close to his ancestral village in Mansa in Punjab in broad daylight on Sunday.

He was at the wheel of a Mahindra Thar SUV when the assailants, believed to be 10-12 in number, fired more than 20 rounds at point blank range at the singer and his two friends, who sustained grievous injuries. Moosewala was hit by seven-eight bullets.
