Kundapur, Jun 5: Additional district and sessions judge abdul Rahim Hussain Sheikh said that by cleaning beaches we are setting an example for the next generation. "We have to preserve the nature given by God," he added.
Justice Sheikh was speaking after inaugurating the cleaning programme organised at kodi beach on Sunday, June 5 on the occasion of World Environment Day by various organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, senior civil judge Raju said, “Environment day is complimentary to tobacco ban. The main aim of this is to avoid the damage caused to the environment. In coastal region these programmes are held with public participation which is a good sign.”
Ashish Reddy, deputy conservator of forest said, “We will distribute 1200 kg of plant seeds to the public as part of world environment day at 50 different places to the public for one week. NCC, scout, guides, public representatives will help us in this task. We should take a pledge that we will work towards saving the environment.”

Bannady Somanath Hegde president of bar association of Kundapur taluk welcomed the gathering and did the introductory speech. Ganesh Putran of Clean Kundapura compered the event.
