Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal

Bantwal, June 5: A JCB ran over a cyclist driven by a small boy and killed him on the spot in Kaniyooru of Kanyan.

The JCB was on its way to Kaniyooru as it was employed for carrying out works at an industrialist's house.

The driver of the JCB was said to be under the influence of alcohol. The deceased boy has been identified as Mohammed Akhil, son of Hasainaar, resident of Kaniyooru.

The JCB driver who hailed from Gadag removed the mortal remains of the boy using the hook of his vehicle and went on ahead as usual to attend to his work.

The villagers took the driver to task for his behaviour as he tried to escape saying that another driver would be coming to operate the vehicle.

The locals informed the Vittal Police who visited the location and took driver Sadiq and the JCB into custody. More details are awaited.

Parents should be really careful not to send their kids out alone cycling. Best dont get a cycle if parents are busy with work and cant manage to go out with them. These days especially for small kids parents have to accompany while going out to play. bad roads, kidnappers, rapists, vehicles, open drains, n reasons that kids dont understand.

Small boy cycling on the public road? Then put parents in jail before punishing driver. 2 and 3wheelers should be very cautious while using public roads because it's not built for them.

What an unspeakable tragedy! This little angelic boy taken away in an instant by the intoxicated driver of the big JCB. Rest in peace, darling boy. Both the angelic little boy Mohammed and the JCB driver Sadiq seem to be Muslim; if Siddiq was not, there would have been mayhem.
