Mumbai: Bantara Sangha, Mumbai holds annual educational and cultural programme

Mumbai, Jun 6: Bantara Sangha Mumbai held their annual educational, cultural and social welfare programme sponsored by Charishma Builders managing director Sudhir Shetty in memory of late Padumane Vasu K Shetty at Bantara Bhavan, Kurla east. Heramba Industries managing director Sadashiva K Shetty Kanyana inaugurated the programme and distributed scholarships to hundreds of students.

President of the sangha, Chandrahasa K Shetty chaired the programme. Karnataka state MLC, education scholar Manjunath B Bhandary was the chief guest. Bhavani group president Daddangadi Chelladka K D Shetty, Tunga hotel group president Sudhaker S Hegde, MRG Bengaluru group managing director Korangrapadi Prakash M Shetty, Babas group’s Mahesh S Shetty and well known tax consultant Pravin Bhoja Shetty, guests of honour adopted students, distributed monetary help to education deprived specially abled children, monthly widow pension and scholarships.

The president honoured Konkan Railway consumers representative Jaya A Shetty, Borivili education committee president Dr Padmanabha V Shetty, donors, trustees, former presidents, office bearers, judges who decided the beneficiaries and staff of the Sangha’s office for their services.

The programme began after singing the bunts anthem. Savishya Shetty and the party sang the prayer. Mulund Bunts child artistes presented a welcome dance. Education committee secretary, Jaya A Shetty read the list of various monetary help beneficiaries. Assistant secretary Khanesh Bhasker Shetty read the list of donors. Ashok Pakkala introduced the guests and compered the programme. Committee Treasurer Navin Shetty Innabalike read the list of beneficiaries and rendered a vote of thanks.

The details of the projects of the education and social welfare committees were shown in the interim period by means of a documentary film. Children from various regional committees and Mulund Bunts presented cultural programme. Karnur Mohan Rai compered the programme. The programme concluded after the national anthem.
