Drugs recovered from local dealers in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Jun 6 (IANS): Acting on a tip-off, the Gujarat ATS have arrested a man from Vastrapur area of Ahmedabad in Gujarat and recovered 80 grams of MDMA, 325 grams 'charas' and three and a half kg of cannabis from him.

According to sources, a man from Rajula in Amreli was dealing in drugs.

Last week, two brothers were arrested by the Ahmedabad Police Crime Branch for carrying drugs in the Andhajan Mandal area and 421.16 grams of mephedrone drugs worth Rs 42 lakh were recovered from the duo.

Upon questioning by police, the man from Vastrapur confessed to selling drugs to three drug peddlers -- Maruf and Salman from Vejalpur, and Farooq from Raikhad -- across the city who were arrested by Ahmedabad police Crime Branch.
