Hasan Ali Taken to Enforcement Directorate Office for Interrogation

New Delhi, Mar 7 (TOI): Alleged tax evader Hasan Ali Khan was on Monday taken to the Enforcement Directorate for interrogation.

An ED team had earlier swooped on the Pune house of Hasan Ali, accused of stashing black money abroad, to ascertain his whereabouts. The ED also raided about 24 other locations in four different cities linked to Hasan Ali and his aides.

Hasan Ali Khan and his aides were raided for alleged tax haven links.

The Pune-based real estate consultant and stud farm owner is alleged to have stashed away over USD 8 billion in Swiss banks.

Khan has allegedly concealed his income and not filed income tax returns since 1999. The department had also raided his properties in Mumbai and Hyderabad earlier.
