Property dealer shoots self dead in Gurugram


Gurugram, Jun 10 (IANS): A 33-year-old property dealer has allegedly shot himself dead in his house with his licensed revolver in Gurugram's Narsinghpur village, the police said on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Arjun a.k.a Anoop.

According to the police, the reason behind the suicide is yet to be known as no suicide note was recovered from the deceased prompting him to take this extreme step on Thursday.

The police suspect that Arjun suffered losses in his business and that could be the reason behind this extreme step.

The victim was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead on Thursday evening.

Arjun Dev, the station house officer (SHO) of Sector-37 police station said, "The revolver used by Arjun was recovered from the spot and the licence of the revolver has been verified."

"The man is survived by his wife and three sons. His body will be handed over to his family after a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, police are trying to ascertain the motive behind the incident," Subhash Boken, spokesperson of the Gurugram police said.
