Mangaluru, Jun 14: "Congress is trying to implement a separate manifesto for the Dakshina Kannada district.

It is been decided to prepare a separate manifesto for each district in the state. It has been decided in 'Navasankalpa Camp' held at Adyar Garden on Tuesday," said KPCC working president Saleem Ahmed.

Each district has its own challenges and problems. For example, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have wide scope for tourism. Hence, KPCC has decided to prepare a separate manifesto, he added.

He was speaking at Congress Bhavan here on Tuesday, June 14.

"BJP is misusing CBI, ED, and IT departments. Using ED and IT officials, they are harassing Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. BJP should be ashamed. Law is not present in the country. During the protest, police tried to assault Congress leaders Dinesh Gundu Rao, H K Patil and D K Suresh, " he alleged.

"In the camp, it was decided to be committed to the backward class, Dalits and minorities. By booking false cases against these sections of people, they are being harassed. An oath has been taken to include the Tulu language to the 8th schedule of the Indian Constitution. Rs 25 lacs have been given to the family of a person who was murdered in Shivamogga but single rupee has not been given to Sameer who was murdered in Gadag, Such discrimination was condemned in the camp," he said.

"Only one community is being targeted in the state. Several organisations are giving provocative statements. In such a situation, strict action should be taken without any hesitation. But, this is not happening in our state, " he lamented.

Former MLA Madhu Bangarappa, former minister B Ramnath, MLA U T Khader, DCC president K Harish Kumar, MLC Manjunath Bhandary, Ivan D'Souza and others were present.
