Mangalore: City Police Arrest Two for Peddling Narcotics

Mangalore, Mar 11: The city police nabbed two persons accused of peddling a small quantity of narcotics at Tokkottu, on Friday March 11.

The arrested are 27-year-old Nawaz, son of Abdulla, resident of Permannur, and 29-year-old Rajesh, son of Ramesh Acharya, resident of Kotekar.



The policemen recovered seventeen 17 gm of narcotics worth nearly Rs 25,000, two mobile phones and Rs 400 in cash from Nawaz and Rajesh who were nabbed near Tokkottu Railway Bridge when peddling.

The SDC CID unit head constables Krishna and Vasant, policemen Harish and Ashok, and jeep driver Naveen Kumar were involved in the operation that was carried out under the direction of C A Simon, police officer of SDC, CID.
