House collapses in Delhi's Paharganj, several feared trapped


New Delhi, Jun 16 (IANS): Several people are feared trapped under the debris of a house which collapsed in the capital's Paharganj area on Thursday evening, a Fire Department official said.

The official said that they received a call about the incident from Paharganj, near Khanna Market and Vivek Hotel, in central Delhi at 8.40 p.m. after which seven rescue units were immediately pressed into service.

"So far a 3-year-old child, two girls, and their father has been rescued from the collapsed structure," Delhi Fire Service chief Atul Garg told IANS.
