Udupi: MGM College department of Journalism to host one day state level seminar on new media

Udupi, Jun 17: Mahathma Gandhi Memorial College Department of Journalism, in association with Student Welfare Council and IQAC is all set to host one day state level seminar workshop on 'Opportunities in New Media'. The programme will be held on Monday June 20 in MGM College Udupi.

The seminar workshop will focus purely on the usage of new media and the career opportunities available in the field. Five seminars will be organized as part of the programme. M S Raghavendra of Media Masters Bengaluru will be taking a session on 'how to earn through social media sites'. Meanwhile renowned Youtuber and creator of Shutterbox films Sachin S Shetty will be having a session on content creation, and artist Manasi Sudhir on 'Literature in social media'. Anchor Shamira Beluvai and Voice over artist Badekilla Pradeep will be conducting seminars on Anchoring and Skills of voice over artist respectively.

"This is a small supportive step from our side to the aspiring individuals who are willing for guidance to earn a living from social media. It is a one day state level seminar. This is a small effort from our side to support the aspiring content creators. General public are also allowed to participate in the programme," said Manjunath Kamath, HOD department of Journalism.

Cultural programmes will be presented by artists from Nandagokula troupe from Mangaluru.
