Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 17: World Day against Child Labour was observed in Carmel School Auditorium by the students of grade 9 C on June 13.

The programme began with a short prayer service pleading God for strength to all the children around the world who are 'Child laborers' followed by welcome dance. A skit was displayed on the importance of education in the life of a student. Significance of the day was highlighted by Angel Noronha. Sr Violette AC -the administrator in her invigorating message to the students said, “You are the gift of God. Being the privileged ones, you can create awareness regarding elimination of child labour and enlighten others on the importance of education in your locality”. 'Free them to achieve their dreams'- this thought was beautifully illustrated through a dance drama.

Amna and Aaron anchored the programme. Jesmi Mendonca welcomes the gathering and Dhanishka proposed the vote of thanks.
