Udupi: Vidyodaya PU College secures 16 ranks in II PUC exams

Udupi, Jun 18: Vidyodaya Pre-University College, a sister concern institution of Udupi based Vidyodaya Trust has achieved 100% results in Science and 98.87% results in Commerce in the second PUC examinations held in the academic year 2021-22.

There were 322 students from science who wrote the examinations this year of which 214 of them passed with distinction and 106 students passed with first class. Two students passed with second class.

11 state level ranks in Science

Omkar Prabhu secured third rank in the state in Science with a total marks of 596. He scored 100 in Hindi, 98 in English, 100 in Physics, 98 in Chemistry, 100 in Mathematics and 100 in Computer Science

Niyatha secured 5th rank with a total score of 594, Lakshmi P got 7th rank with 592 marks while Pranamya Acharya and K S Niharika Navya Dinesh Shetty secured eighth rank with 591 marks. Pavan A Shetty, Isha Kunder, Amarnath Bhat B and Chinmaya Adiga obtained 9th rank with 590 marks and Jagruth Chandrashekhar obtained 10th rank with 589 marks.

The college has achieved 98.87% results in Commerce with 177 students appearing for the examination out of which 88 of them passed with distinction and 80 students passed with first class. Seven students passed with second class.

5 state-level ranks in Commerce

Meghana Mendon secured 6th rank with a total score of 591 marks, Hiral Sundar ranked 7th with a total score of 590, Darshan R Shetty and Larissa Hejal Nazerath shared the eight rank with a total score 589 while Vithika V Shetty got scored 10th rank with a total of 587 marks, according to a release from Sandeep Kumar, the principal of the College.

The college administrative board and members of the teaching faculty have congratulated the students.
