Menstrual Health and Hygiene is essential to the well-being and empowerment of women and adolescent girls. The lack of information about menstruation leads to unhygienic and unhealthy menstrual practices and creates misconceptions and negative attitudes, which motivate, among others, shaming and bullying. For generations of girls and women, poor menstrual health and hygiene is exacerbating social and economic inequalities, negatively impacting their education, health, safety, and human development. In educating them, they understand the basic facts linked to the menstrual cycle and how to manage it with dignity and without discomfort or fear.
This session proved to be an educative and interactive. The speaker clarified the doubts and myths about menstruation and emphasized the need to be healthy and hygienic and also make the environment pollutant free.
The management congratulated the school for this initiation and wishes good luck for the future endeavours.
