Educational institutions reopen in J&K's Bhaderwah after 10 days

Jammu, Jun 20 (IANS): All educational institutions opened after 10 days in Jammu and Kashmir's Bhaderwah town on Monday.

After remaining closed due to communal tension for 10 days, all government and private educational institutions reopened in Bhaderwah town, officials said.

Day curfew was lifted from the town on Monday and no untoward incident occurred anywhere in the town during the last 24 hours.

Officials said night curfew will, however, continue in the town as a precautionary measure.

Tension had gripped Bhaderwah following controversial remarks made by former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma about Prophet Muhammad.
