Mangaluru, Jun 21: The three accused who were arrested for attacking police personnel, were produced in the court. The court remanded them to judicial custody till July 4.
It may be recalled, a group of youth who were consuming alcohol at a public place in Chilimbi Gudda in Urwa, attacked the beat police on duty in the wee hours of Sunday June 20.
The Urwa police who found the boys drinking at around 1:30 am approached them to inquire. A few of them misbehaved with the police staff and fled the place after a scuffle.
In the melee, two policemen were manhandled and one of them received some injuries to his legs and a hand.
