Mangaluru: International Yoga day – 2022 held at Nazareth Central School

Mangaluru, Jun 22: Nazareth Central School celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21 June, 2022, for all classes with much fervour and enthusiasm. The special assembly and celebration depicted the innumerable benefits of Yoga.

Since the theme for the year is ‘Yoga for Humanity, All the Nazareth fraternity also joined the session with same excitement and joy.

This special occasion was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp by School principal Sr Marceline D’Souza, School academic coordinator Precilla Veigas, programme Coordinator Veena Rao along with School Head Boy and Head Girl.

The excitement of the children of Grade 1 to 10 was palpable in the School Auditorium as they geared up to celebrate the International Day of Yoga 2022, it was nevertheless exciting because of its novelty.

The innumerable benefits of practicing Yoga was explained to all the participants by three students of our school, they are Devangana Shaji, Alden Savio Monteiro and Khushi M respectively. Students displayed their creative side by selecting theme‘International Day of Yoga’on the colourful stage.

The boundless peace of doing the Asanas was amply visible right from the faces of the students.The programme was meticulously compared
by Deepa D. Let us all join together to mark this day by celebrating from home not only today but every day.
