Mangaluru: Foundation Day celebrated at St Agnes Pre- University College

Mangaluru, Jun 23: St Agnes Pre- University College has been providing integral and value based education to students of all castes and creeds without distinction. The lush, well maintained and serene campus distinguishes St Agnes PU College and sets it apart from the rest. A full-fledged canteen, a clean and great atmosphere along with an environment friendly approach enhances the overall ambience.

The college celebrated 102 years of educating and empowering girls on 22 June 2022. The programme which was held in the college auditorium commenced with a prayer song by the students.

The chief guest, advocaate Elizabeth Neeliyara commended the management, staff and students for being an integral part of this institution which has made a huge contribution to the community. Speaking on the occasion of Foundation Day, she echoed the sentiments of Mother Teresa who said that “The giving hand is greater than the praying lips”. She advised the students to work hard with single-minded focus and commitment to their goal as envisioned by Mother Aloysia. She wished the institution and all its well-wishers and stakeholders vibrant success in the years to come.

On this auspicious occasion, umbrellas and uniforms were distributed to the students of St Agnes Kannada Medium Primary School. Sweezal from the science stream compered the programme, Joel Fernandes welcomed the gathering, including the chief guest. While the PPT was being screened, Shailaja spoke aboutthe illustrious history of the college right from its humble beginnings.

Tressie Menezes delivered the vote of thanks. The principal Sr Norin D'Souza, vice principal Sr Janet Sequeira, the faculty and the students were present.
