Mangaluru: St Agnes College (Autonomous) organizes workshop on ‘Leadership and Communication Skills'

Mangaluru, Jun 24: The department of Commerce, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organised a workshop on ‘Leadership and Communication Skills' for the second year BCom students on June 23.

The keynote speaker for the day was Shavina Soans, a freelance soft skills trainer and consultant. Soans has worked as a trainer for iPoint, is a consultant at Lykora, Mangaluru and is a faculty member for Soft Skills at ICAI, Mangaluru.

The workshop commenced with a prayer song by Snehal Dsouza and her group, followed by a welcome speech and the introduction of the speaker by Megha Manohar.
Soans began the session by introducing the topic of 'communication skills' to the students, followed by an activity. She stressed the importance of communication skills for every modern student to master as it is critical in the business world.

As the session carried on, Soans gave the students an insight into the opportunity to develop leadership skills that prepare them for success in their professional life. The talk on leadership skills was followed by an activity.

The workshop was filled with educative and entertaining activities. Shavina Soans effectively drove home all the points that are required when working in the corporate sector. The students enjoyed the session thoroughly.

Rodney Vaz and Abhishek were the staff coordinators. Megha Manohar compered the session. Laisha D’Çunha proposed the vote of thanks.
