Mangaluru: Parents of the rank holder in PU exam felicitated at Expert College

Mangaluru, Jun 28: Umesh and Sudha, the proud parents of Vijayalaxmi U Ullegaddi, a student of Expert P U College, Valachil were felicitated here as their daughter secured 4 th rank in the state and scored 595 out of 600 in the second PUC Board exam. It may be noted that Vijayalaxmi Ullegaddi has scored full marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology, 97 in English and 98 in Kannada.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions and Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson honoured the parents with Vijayalaxmi in the presence of newly inducted students of first PUC and their parents.

Prof Nayak lauded the praiseworthy achievement of Vijayalaxmi and hoped that it would be a shining example to the new students to realize their dreams through perseverance.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak said that the positive involvement of parents supplements the performance of the students and all such parents deserve to be honoured for their involvement in positive parenting.

Vijayalaxmi expressed her gratitude to the management and teachers for enabling her to achieve the feat. She also said that anything can be achieved through dedication and hard work.

Ankush N. Nayak, IT director, Expert Group of Institutions, Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal, Subrahmanya Udupa, vice principal (Academics), Raghavendra Shenoy, vice principal (Admin), and Shyamprasad S, AICE Coordinator were present on the occasion.

Dhruthi Hegde, HOD chemistry accorded a cordial to the gathering and hosted the programme. Anitha P Shetty, students’ welfare officer for girls proposed the vote of thanks.
