Aarushi Murder: Allahabad High Court Dismisses Talwar's Plea

Lucknow, March 18 (IANS) The Allahabad High Court Friday dismissed the two revision petitions of Rajesh and Nupur Talwar against the special CBI court's order to charge them for the 2008 murders of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj.

The court has given 15 days time to Nupur Talwar to apply for bail in the special Central Bureau of Investigation court in Ghaziabad, while Rajesh Talwar has been asked to abide by the special court's order to appear before it on March 22.

Their counsel, Gopal Chaturvedi, told IANS: "I have advised my clients to challenge the high court order before the Supreme Court."

Fourteen-year-old Aarushi, a Class 9 student of the Delhi Public School in Noida, was found murdered at her parents' apartment in Noida May 16, 2008.

The family's servant Hemraj was initially suspected for the killing but his body was found on the flat's terrace a day later.

The CBI filed a closure report in December 2010. The Ghaziabad court ordered Feb 9 that the Talwars be charged with murder, destruction of evidence and criminal conspiracy.
