Belthangady: Sacred Heart College Madanthyar students visit Seon Ashram

Belthangady, Jun 30: The Humanities Association along with the Departments of Economics and Sociology of Sacred Heart College Madanthyar, visited Seon Ashram at Gandibagilu on Thursday, June 30. All students from BA stream participated in the programme," To pain with the pain of the Pained."

The head of the Ashram Mary U(wife of U C Paulos) expressed the trouble which she and her husband have taken to development of the Ashram.

Prof Prakash kramadari, professor and head of the Department of sociology addressed the gathering. He spoke about the decline of the joint families and broken family relations. Parents and the old aged persons have been neglected by the present generation. So the number of old age homes are increasing. He praised the efforts of Seon Ashram in looking after the mentally retarded ,old aged persons and the orphans. He gently gave a call to the students to look after their parents with love and care.

Students gave cultural programmes to entertain the inmates of the Ashram. After the cultural programme students were allowed to interact with the inmates. It was a touching programme for the students.

In this programme head of the Ashram, Mary U C, H R Rithesh, the management staff of the Ashram, humanities association coordinator Arun Johnson Bronco, Poojashree, Rakshita, Seema Kauser were present.

In the programme compered by Shahi Afrid,Priya welcomed the gathering and Ashritha proposed the vote of thanks.
