M'lore: Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing Celebrates, Graduation, Annual Day

Mangalore, Mar 19:  Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing and Laxmi Memorial Institute of Nursing celebrated Graduation Ceremony and Annual Day at AJIMS, Kuntikana here recently.


The programme commenced with the entry of graduates in a beautiful procession followed by the dignitaries. The guests and the graduates were welcomed by a prayer dance followed by formal stage function.

The stage programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries. Dr D Premkumar, registrar RGUHS was the chief guest of the function and he stressed on caring the patients with use of scientific knowledge.
Krishna Byre Gowda, MLA and Dr Laxmi Rana M.Sc Nursing, PhD, principal, Vinayaka Mission’s Annapoorna College of Nursing, Salem were the guest of honour for the function.

 Krishna Byre Gowda spoke on the noble profession of nursing and gave a call to all nurses saying, “Stop being selfish and give something to society”. Dr  Laxmi Rana stressed on new approach of nursing for caring a patient in a holistic manner.

A J Shetty, president Laxmi Memorial Education Trust presided over the function. He gave a message to graduates that world is big and full of opportunities and Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing provides a firm basis to excel in professional skills. The function continued by awarding certificates and oath taking by the graduates.

Annual report reading was done by professor Larissa Martha Sams, principal Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing followed by prize distribution. Professor Theresa Mathais, professor LMCN welcomed the gathering.  Diana Lobo, associate professor, LMCN delivered the vote of thanks. Jonita Sheron Menezes and Suhani Lolita, assistant lecturers of LMCN compered the whole programme. The function concluded by the enchanting cultural programme.
