Panaji, Jun 30 (IANS): As Indian Olympic Association (IOA) decided to host national games 2022 in Gujarat, instead of Goa, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has criticised the BJP government saying it is more focused on 'political games', than national games.
AAP Youth Wing National Vice President Siddesh Bhagat on Thursday addressed a press conference and said that Goa has lost the chance of hosting national games, as IOA has announced that it will take place in Gujarat.
Bhagat criticised the BJP government for not building suitable infrastructure to host National Games, despite the announcement being made 14 years ago, that is in 2008.
According to AAP, Goa was supposed to host the 36th edition of the National games in November 2016, however, due to insufficient infrastructure, it was postponed year after year.
