Mangaluru: Doctor's Day celebrated at Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences

Mangaluru, Jul 1: Kanachur Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) celebrated National Doctor's Day on the July 1, at the Kanachur Hospital auditorium.

The event was presided over by chairman Haji U K Monu.

Dr Gopal Achar - a GP from Manchi was the chief guest and was felicitated on behalf of Doctor's Day for his service to humanity for over 5 decades.

Dean Dr H S Virupaksha; associate dean Col Dr KG Kiran; medical superintendent Dr Harish Shetty, chief administrative medical officer Dr Rohan S Monis, doctors, post-graduates and interns of KIMS had gathered.

Dr Gopal in his humility stressed on the need of ethics and communication in the profession. Rural healthcare is the need of the hour, he said. 

Haji UK Monu in his presidential address emphasized, "This is the most respectable profession and we have to give our best to the community."
