Mangaluru: Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management hosts ‘Edify’

Mangaluru, Jul 2: Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM), Mangaluru hosted ‘Edify’, a state level post graduate level intercollegiate management fest on Tuesday, June 28 at the institute campus at Bondel, Mangaluru. The festival included competitions in Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, Best Manager, Public Relations and Business Quiz. Students of 21 PG colleges from in and around Mangalore participated in the event.

P C Ramesh, senior vice president and delivery head, Glow Touch Technologies was the chief guest for the inauguration ceremony. Vathika Pai, proprietor, Vathika International Travels presided over the programme. Film star Arjun Kapikad and Gaana Bhat, actor and Technical Support Manager at Yahoo were the celebrity guests.
In his inaugural address, P C Ramesh advised the students that continuous preparation and skill development is essential for achieving success in the corporate world. “Effective communication, organizing your thoughts, listening skills and ability to lead the interview through your answers are needed to get an entry into the corporate world,” he said.

Arjun Kapikad shared his experience of participating in college events which helped him to find success in the Tulu film industry. Gaana Bhat encouraged the students to follow their passion and pursue what they love.

In her presidential address, Vathika Pai said participating in events will help the students to upgrading their knowledge and build relationship skills.
Institute Director Dr Molly S. Chaudhuri welcomed the gathering. Nanditha Sunil, the faculty coordinator of Edify gave a briefing on the event. Mahima Pai gave a vote of thanks. Arpitha was the master of ceremonies.

Valedictory Function
Laxman Shenoy, Global HR Manager of Tetherfi Technologies was the chief guest for the valedictory and prize distribution function in the evening. Dr Manjula K T, vice president, Women’s National Education Society presided over the programme. Manel Annappa Nayak, vice president, Womens National Education Society and Shyamsunder Kamath, Governing Council Member of WNES were present.

In his address, Laxman Shenoy said profession is full of competition but the opportunities are also huge. He advised the students to prepare themselves well for campus interview and also fully avail the corporate training opportunities offered by the company after getting a job.

In her Presidential Address, Dr Manjula K T stressed on holistic education which focuses on the development of the body, mind, intellect and spirit.
Dr Shilpi Saha, assistant professor welcomed the gathering. Nanditha Sunil, the faculty coordinator of Edify gave a report on the event. Mohiyuddeen Hafzal gave a vote of thanks. Preema Lasrado was the anchor for programme.
