Hyderabad, March 23 (IANS) Sistema Shyam Teleservices Limited (SSTL) Wednesday launched its high-speed mobile broadband service MBlaze in Andhra Pradesh.
SSTL's chief sales officer Atul Joshi said the broadband service was being rolled out in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam, Tirupati, Guntur, Warangal, Rajahmundry and Kakinada.
SSTL is now the first telecom player to provide high speed mobile Internet services on Tirumala Hills in Chittoor district.
The firm, which has so far invested over $2.2 billion (Rs.9,866 crore) in India, is investing about Rs.30 crore for rolling out data services across Andhra Pradesh.
Joshi said SSTL may raise funds through an Initial Public Offer (IPO) this year in order to expand its services in the country.
He also denied receiving any notice from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) cancelling the 2G spectrum licence granted to it.
SSTL is a joint venture between Sistema of Russia and Shyam Group of India and offers its telecom services under the MTS brand.
The firm currently offers high speed mobile broadband services in over 130 towns across India.
