MP Guv marks 1 yr in office by spending time with Divyang children

Bhopal, Jul 8 (IANS): Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai C. Patel on Friday marked the completion of his one year in office by taking part at a programme organised by the Raj Bhavan in which around 60 Divyang children were the guests.

Though Patel had assumed office on July 6 last year, the programme was organised by the Raj Bhavan on Friday.

The children became the guests of the Governor at his official residence in Bhopal and they had lunch at the Raj Bhavan hosted by Patel.

The Governor office in an official statement said that Divyang children were overwhelmed by the soulful dialogue and affectionate behaviour of Patel.

"He lovingly offered them meal. With the blessings of his sweet words, affectionate behaviour and best wishes, the Governor drenched the hearts and minds of the Divyang children in the colour of joy."

Patel asked the Divyang children to share their experiences of visiting Raj Bhavan with their friends and family.

Speaking about the hearing impairment of his grandson, he said: "If there is any deficiency in the body, then nature also provides some other divine power. The need is to recognise this power within you."
