Kundapur: New office bearers of Hangaluru Lions Club take charge

Kundapur, Jul 11: The oath taking ceremony of the Hangaluru Lions Club's new office bearers for the year 2022-23 was held at East West Sports and Cultural Club near Basrur Moorukai.

District governor N M Hegde spoke to the audience after conducting the oath taking ceremony. He said, “It is really appreciable that Hangaluru Lions Club is continuously doing works of upholding the human values in Kundapur. The youth should opt for social service in more numbers as there is opportunity for personality development through this noble act.”

New president Rajat Hegde, secretary Wilfred Menezes, treasurer Rovan D’Costa, G Sundar Shetty, Nithesh D’Costa and other members took charge.
Rajat Hegde sought cooperation of all the members for the works that the Lions Club will be undertaking in the coming days.

Cash prizes were given to the financially poor brilliant students on the occasion. Two individuals who were suffering from ill-health were also given medical aid.

Balakrishna Shetty, Bhojanath Shetty, Sujay Shetty, Jayakar Shetty and Ramesh Shetty were present.
Mathew Joseph welcomed the gathering. Wilfred Menezes read the annual report. Seetharama Shetty proposed a vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Grett D’Costa.
