Mangalore: ‘Resign or Face Massive Movement’ – Kumaraswamy to Yeddyurappa

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Mar 25: Speaking to press persons in the city on Thursday March 24, former state Chief Minister (CM) and MP, H D Kumaraswamy, advised the BJP to extract resignation from the state CM, B S Yeddyurappa, in the backdrop of the court’s nod to hand over land scams in which the CM and minister, R Ashok, are involved, to the Lokayukta. He felt that this action will save at least some of the lost respect and ethical values of the BJP.

“If the CM is to argue that scams have not occurred even after the court has ordered Lokayukta inquiry into the deals in which he was involved, how can anyone believe that BJP has moral standards? In this backdrop, how far is the BJP justified in raising its voice at the corruption in the central government?” he questioned.

He also said that the JDS will lay bare the details of scams in which the CM is involved before the people, and set in motion a massive agitation for his ouster.

He reiterated that he is prepared to voluntarily retire from politics, if the CM or his supporters are able to prove that Deve Gowda or his family members were involved with any illegal activities. He invited the CM to take legal steps against his family members instead of issuing politically motivated statements.

He also felt that for the first time in the history of the country, a CM is justifying his wrongdoings. He felt that the state is going through a phase of grave instability now.

MLA, Balakrishna, was present at the press conference.

Law seems to be taking it's own course, for a change. Hope to see the likes of Yeddyurappa, Katta Naidu, Ashoka, S N Krishnaiah Setty in jail soon like A Raja. How much more can one be shameless in sticking to the chair ? The only thing left is to be arrested and bundled into jail ... it so seems.

It is his goodness to accept the wrong doings when he realises the
fact. Does KS thought people who voted BJP are fools to start Movement or does he think he is being a MP is supreme to all? If so he is really a fool.
