Patna, Jul 12 (IANS): As Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived for the inauguration of Bihar Bhawan memorial column, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday apprised him of state Assembly's over 100-year-old history.

"The building of Bihar Vidhan Sabha was built in 1912 and it was operational in 1921 when Bihar and Odisha (then Orissa) were united. We invited by several top leaders including former Presidents Pratibha Devi Patil, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, current President Ram Nath Kovind and now our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is a great pleasure for us that they came to Patna for the events organised during different occasions in Bihar Vidhan Sabha," he said.

"Our Speaker Vijay Sinha is the architect of today's event. He went to Delhi to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he has given time to come to Bihar. He also thanks Prime Minister Narendra Modi for coming to Bihar," Nitish Kumar added.
