Mangaluru: Vanamahotsava celebrated at St Ann’s PU College

Mangaluru, Jul 13: St Ann’s PU College celebrated Vanamahotsava on July 12. The students of 2nd science along with Eco Club members organised the programme as a concern to spread awareness on importance of trees. To commemorate 25 years of academic excellence, the dynamic eco-warriors of the eco club took on the project ‘Green Campus’ by planting 25 saplings in the campus.

The programme began with invocation lead by 2nd science choir students followed by the welcome address by Rekha welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by the principal, Sr Marilda AC, vice principal, Anil Noronha and the Eco club president Gowthami J.

The principal delivered a message on environmental care and it's maintenance.

The eco club core committee along with the its members came together to endorse the pledge for nature. This pledge was taken to selflessly serve and nurture mother earth.

The eco warriors core committee consists of the following members:

Vice-president - Thrisha R S
Secretary - Keerthika Shetty
Treasurer- Afeefa Sana
