Harbhajan, Mashrafe Mortaza, Lendl Simmons, Ramdin to play in Legends League Cricket


New Delhi, Jul 14 (IANS): India's legendary spin bowler Harbhajan Singh, Bangladesh's Mashrafe Mortaza and West indies stars, Lendl Simmons and Denesh Ramdin have confirmed their participation in Season 2 of Legends League Cricket (LLC) to be held in September 2022.

India's most successful off-spinner, Harbhajan -- popularly known as Bhajji == is a legend of his times and getting into fierce rivalries with top batsmen was one of his likings. Harbhajan's professional rivalry on the pitch with Australia has provided him the some of the best moments in his career.

Besides Harbhajan, Bangladesh's ex-captain and legend Mortaza has also confirmed his participation in the upcoming season of LLC. He is one of the biggest names in Bangladesh Cricket and has won many matches with his all-round performances.

Ex-West Indies cricketers Lendl Simmons and Denesh Ramdin also joined th' league's player draft for the upcoming season.

On his joining Season 2 of the Legends League Cricket, Harbhajan Singh said, "it makes me feel supercharged to be back on the ground and play with the global legends of the game. I am looking forward to September eagerly."

An excited Raman Raheja, co-founder and CEO of Legends League Cricket said on Harbhajan's joining Season 2 of the league, "with great excitement we welcome Harbhajan to the team. We missed him due to Covid in January and now are looking forward to experiencing the magic of his spin bowling on the field again."

Further, Raman added, "After the confirmations from Harbhajan, Mortaza, Simmons and Ramdin, who all are international legends of the game, it surely adds to the octane energy for Season 2 of the league."
